When it comes to placing a rug, the size you choose is crucial. For a 5x8 rug, it is recommended to keep the furniture legs off the rug, as this size is perfect for a small space. However, no matter the size, you'll want to leave 18 to 24 inches of exposed floor around the perimeter.

Moving on to an 8x10 rug, this size will fill the visual space of a seating area, and the front legs of all furniture should be placed around the edges. Again, you'll want to leave 18 to 24 inches of exposed floor around the perimeter.

For a 9x12 rug, it will fill most rooms, and all furniture should be placed directly on top to keep the space intimate. Once more, you'll want to leave 18 to 24 inches of exposed floor around the perimeter.

The rugs are made of soft 0.4" pile, stain and fade resistant polypropylene with a jute backing that is safe for wood floors. The geometric design with Scandinavian style provides a clean and classic look, making it suitable for the living room, family room, dining room, or bedroom.

When your rug arrives, it may have creases from tight packaging and compression during storage. These normally flatten within 3-5 days in warm weather and 5-7 in cooler seasons. You can also reduce or remove creasing by rolling the rug, pattern side, up and massaging the creases with your hands. This loosens the backing and helps ease it flat. You can also lay the rug out in a sunny room first, as heat helps further loosen the backing.

Polypropylene rugs are super easy to clean! For spills, remove any excess material and blot the stain with a clean cloth dampened with lukewarm water. Never rub the stain as this will move it deeper into the fiber and make it harder to remove. Repeat this process with a solution of lukewarm water and dish detergent. Finish by blotting with water and finally a clean white cloth.
